Dear Students,

Have you ever stopped to think how lucky we are to live in the United States of America?  We are able to go to school, and if we work hard, we have the opportunity to become whatever we want to be.  And just as you might need a little extra help sometimes, many other people in our country could use a helping hand, too.  There is no better feeling than knowing that you have helped make someone else's life better.

President Bush started USA Freedom Corps to encourage us to work together to help our neighbors and strengthen our communities.  I hope that you will look at this website and discover ways you can become a volunteer.  When you lend a hand to someone else, you'll not only make that person happy, but you'll also feel good about yourself!
